Our goal is to make today’s service as immersive as possible. If you are watching on Facebook or Youtube chat us! We are watching and responding. We can’t wait to hear from you!
We have changed the way we worship together, but our message and purpose are the same. We are excited to spend this time together to strengthen each other and build one another up in Christ. Today, during worship, we will participate in The Lord’s Supper as a church family, as well as tithing and offerings. We are here to chat on Facebook, Youtube, through email, and through our Connect Card if you have prayer requests or would like to speak to a minister. We miss you and want to hear from you! Lion and The Lamb
And every chain will break, as broken hearts declare His praise
Who can stop the Lord Almighty?
He’s roaring with power and fighting our battles
And every knee will bow before You
Our God is the Lamb, the Lamb that was slain
For the sin of the world, His blood breaks the chains
And every knee will bow before the Lion and the Lamb
Oh every knee will bow before the Lion and the Lamb
Our God who calls the saved is here to set the captives free
Who can stop the Lord Almighty?
He’s roaring with power and fighting our battles
And every knee will bow before You
Our God is the Lamb, the Lamb that was slain
For the sin of the world, His blood breaks the chains
And every knee will bow before the Lion and the Lamb
Oh every knee will bow before the Lion and the Lamb
Who can stop the Lord Almighty?
Who can stop the Lord Almighty?
Who can stop the Lord Almighty?
Who can stop the Lord Almighty?
Oh who can stop the Lord Almighty?
Who can stop the Lord?
He’s roaring with power and fighting our battles
And every knee will bow before You
Our God is the Lamb, the Lamb that was slain
For the sin of the world, His blood breaks the chains
And every knee will bow before the Lion and the Lamb
Oh every knee will bow before the Lion and the Lamb
And every knee will bow before the Lion and the Lamb
Every knee will bow before the Lion and the Lamb
Rescue
There’s never been a moment
You were forgotten
You are not hopeless
Though you have been broken
Your innocence stolen
I hear your SOS, your SOS
In the middle of the darkest night
It’s true, I will rescue you
That cannot be covered
Over and over
You’re not defenseless
I’ll be your shelter
I’ll be your armor
I hear your SOS, your SOS
In the middle of the darkest night
It’s true, I will rescue you
I will never stop marching to reach you
In the middle of the hardest fight
It’s true, I will rescue you
I hear you whisper, you have nothing left
In the middle of the darkest night
It’s true, I will rescue you
I will never stop marching to reach you
In the middle of the hardest fight
It’s true, I will rescue you
Bigger Than I Thought
When the silence steals my voice
You understand me
You understand me
In the valley of unknowns
You understand me
You understand me
You understand me, God
You understand me
My doubts and fears don’t scare You
You’re bigger than I thought You were
You’re bigger than I thought
I stop all negotiations
With the God of all creation
You’re bigger than I thought You were
You’re bigger than I thought You were
So much bigger than I thought
You’re bigger than I thought You were
But help my unbelief
You understand me
You understand me
The faith that’s underneath
You understand me
You understand me
Yes, You understand me, God
You understand me
My doubts and fears don’t scare You
You’re bigger than I thought You were
You’re bigger than I thought
I stop all negotiations
With the God of all creation
You’re bigger than I thought You were
You’re bigger than I thought You were, oh
Leave the rest in the Father’s hands
I will rest in the Father’s hands
Leave the rest in the Father’s hands, yeah
I will rest in the Father’s hands
Leave the rest in the Father’s hands
I will rest in the Father’s hands
Leave the rest in the Father’s hands
My doubts and fears don’t scare You
You’re bigger than I thought You were
You’re bigger than I thought
I stop all negotiations
With the God of all creation
You’re bigger than I thought You were
You’re bigger than I thought
You’re so much bigger than I thought You were
You’re bigger than I thought You were
You’re bigger than I thought You were
Always
But I will hold my ground
I will not fear the war, I will not fear the storm
My help is on the way, my help is on the way
My refuge and strength always
I will not fear, His promise is true
My God will come through always, always
My soul will rest in You
I will not fear the war, I will not fear the storm
My help is on the way, my help is on the way
My refuge and strength always
I will not fear, His promise is true
My God will come through always, always
I lift my eyes up, my help comes from the Lord
I lift my eyes up, my help comes from the Lord
I lift my eyes up, my help comes from the Lord
From You Lord, from You Lord
My refuge and strength always
I will not fear, His promise is true
My God will come through always, always
My refuge and strength always, always

Live Wednesdays at 6:30pm
We’re live every Wednesday at 6:30pm for a deep dive into God’s Word. Right now we’re in Colossians. Can’t wait to see you Wednesday!
Daniel 9:17-19 NIV
17 “Now, our God, hear the prayers and petitions of your servant. For your sake, Lord, look with favor on your desolate sanctuary. 18 Give ear, our God, and hear; open your eyes and see the desolation of the city that bears your Name. We do not make requests of you because we are righteous, but because of your great mercy. 19 Lord, listen! Lord, forgive! Lord, hear and act! For your sake, my God, do not delay, because your city and your people bear your Name.”
+ God does hear the prayers of His servants (vs.17).
+ God does see what we are going through (vs.18).
I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? 2 My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. 3 He will not let your foot slip—he who watches over you will not slumber; 4 indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. 5 The Lord watches over you—the Lord is your shade at your right hand; 6 the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. 7 The Lord will keep you from all harm—he will watch over your life; 8 the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore. Psalms 121:1-8 NIV
+ Our righteousness has nothing to do with what God is doing (vs.18).
Do not bring your servant into judgment, for no one living is righteous before you. Psalms 143:2 NIV
he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, Titus 3:5 NIV
As it is written:“There is no one righteous, not even one; 11 there is no one who understands; there is no one who seeks God. Romans 3:10-11 NIV
+ Because of His Great Mercy, He Listens, He Forgives, He takes Action (Vs.18&19).
Be my rock of refuge, to which I can always go; give the command to save me, for you are my rock and my fortress. Psalms 71:3 NIV
He is our Rock and He has given the command to save us!
Going Deeper Questions
We learned this week that God hears the prayers of His servants…
- Has there ever been a time you felt this wasn’t true?
- What made you feel this wasn’t true?
- Is there also a time you felt like God didn’t answer your prayers, but after looking back realized He did?
- Was there a time you keenly realized God answered your prayers?
- Matthew 5:45 says “that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.” Have you ever considered this true?
- John 9:31 (NIV) says “We know that God does not listen to sinners. He listens to the godly person who does his will.” What does this mean to you?
- Do you feel like you have to have it all figured out, and do you realize it takes faith in God when you don’t have it figured out?
- Romans 11:33-36 (NIV) says, “Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out! “Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?” “Who has ever given to God, that God should repay them?” For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.” What does this mean to you?

Worship:
Summary:
I think this lesson is so great for the current times we are in. It’s weird, we can’t really see our friends, we are limited in the things we can do. In the scripture, Daniel is worried for what he is living through, and the times to come. God does not want Daniel to spend his days worrying, so He offers Him some words that will help Daniel’s worry cease. This story applies to us and can teach us so much too! We too, like Daniel, might be filled with worry because of this weird time we are in. But during this time, God sees what we’re going through. He always sees us, which is such an amazing thing! And our God doesn’t stop there, He wants to help us, He wants to take action. He listens to us, forgives us, and leads us through whatever we’re going through. We may not have a vision from God like Daniel did, but God can definitely still speak to us through Daniel’s vision. I think it’s always important to remember that whatever hardship we are facing, God is there. Knowing that God hears you, sees you, and is there for you should change everything. It should change the way you approach Him, it should change the way you ask for help, because you know He is there and He cares! Today, and every day, focus on the fact that no matter what you face God is there- He hears you and wants to walk you through whatever You face. We don’t have to face hard times alone, God is our Rock and will save us!
Activity:
God hears us and speaks to us, we just have to be willing to listen. This can be hard at times with all the distractions that can come our way.
For today’s activity, set up a small obstacle course. Have one kiddo blindfolded and you (the parent), or another kiddo lead them through while everyone else in the house makes some extra noise. This will show how important it is to listen to the right voice!
Discussion Questions:
- Can you recall a time God answered your prayers? Did this make you feel like He was listening to you? Why?
- What are things you can do to help you listen to the voice of God?
- How does knowing God hears you and sees you change things for your life?
Welcome to Real Talk!
Investing in the lives of our students through Real Conversations, with Real People, about Real Hard Questions of Faith.
These past few weeks, we have been trying out something new downstairs on Sunday Mornings. Real Talk was originally the brainchild of Jake Brown, the youth minister at Discovery Christian Church, designed with the hopes of encouraging students to lean into one another as they wrestle through questions about the text, that they may have otherwise just gone to a leader for an answer before looking for themselves. We believe that growth happens when we seek out Christ for ourselves, both individually and in community. Thus, it is the hope of us, here at PTC3, that Real Talk would provide students with an opportunity to take their faith into their own hands, as they invest in their relationship with Jesus, and walk alongside their peers through these questions and conversations.
In light of our temporary shift to online platforms, we are still looking to provide students with the opportunity to dive into the text and explore the faith through these conversations, but with their families now! We encourage each of our students to bring their families into these discussions and wrestle through the questions together, hopefully revealing areas of strength, hope, and growth for the family, as well as the individual. So, join us this week as we dive into Daniel 9:17-19 and explore the words of the prophets and learn what they mean for us today.
Question #1
What stands out about this passage to you?
Question #2
Daniel confesses his worry and concern for everything that is going on around him, does that mean it is ok to worry? If yes, then how might this worry be useful?
Question #3
Daniel cries out to God, calling on Him to act for His (God’s) sake. Why is this important and what does it reveal to us about the temptation for us to pray on other interests?
Question #4
How do you view/approach prayer? Do you look forward to it? Or is it something you do out of habbit?
Question #5
Prayer is designed to be our means of communication with God. It’s a two way channel where both get the chance to speak and listen. However, we often forget the listen part and because of this find ourselves frustrated with our prayer time. Instead of it being a conversation, we feel as though it is more like wishful thinking. How can we be reminded of the conversational aspect of prayer and learn to approach it as such?
Question #6
It is not because of our righteousness or goodness that we can pray to God and He listens but because of His faithfulness. How does this affect how we pray?
Question #7
God always answers our prayers-sometimes just not in the way we wanted Him to. Have you ever faced a situation like that? If so, how did that affect your relationship with Him? Did you feel betrayed or hurt? Or were you able to trust that God knew best and had something better in store?
Question #8
Sometimes we feel as though we heard God tell or promise us something and then, after a period of waiting, find that He never answered that promise and we get frustrated and have a tendency to blame God. How is God still good here?
Question #9
Echoing the question above, sometimes we misinterpret our own thoughts for the voice of God and think that those thoughts are God promising us something. How can we learn to distinguish our own thoughts and inner voice from the voice of God in our minds and hearts?
