It is so good to see you!
We have changed the way we worship together, but our message and purpose are the same. We are excited to spend this time together to strengthen each other and build one another up in Christ. Today, during worship, we will participate in The Lord’s Supper as a church family, as well as tithing and offerings. We are here to chat on Facebook, Youtube, through email, and through our Connect Card if you have prayer requests or would like to speak to a minister. We miss you and want to hear from you! While you’re worshipping from home, snap a picture and tag us on social media. We would love to see your face!
If you want to share prayer requests with us, or speak with a pastor, you can fill out our Connect Card online.

The Lion and The Lamb
And every chain will break, as broken hearts declare His praise
Who can stop the Lord Almighty?
He’s roaring with power and fighting our battles
And every knee will bow before You
Our God is the Lamb, the Lamb that was slain
For the sin of the world, His blood breaks the chains
And every knee will bow before the Lion and the Lamb
Oh every knee will bow before the Lion and the Lamb
Our God who calls the saved is here to set the captives free
Who can stop the Lord Almighty?
He’s roaring with power and fighting our battles
And every knee will bow before You
Our God is the Lamb, the Lamb that was slain
For the sin of the world, His blood breaks the chains
And every knee will bow before the Lion and the Lamb
Oh every knee will bow before the Lion and the Lamb
Who can stop the Lord Almighty?
Who can stop the Lord Almighty?
Who can stop the Lord Almighty?
Who can stop the Lord Almighty?
Oh who can stop the Lord Almighty?
Who can stop the Lord?
He’s roaring with power and fighting our battles
And every knee will bow before You
Our God is the Lamb, the Lamb that was slain
For the sin of the world, His blood breaks the chains
And every knee will bow before the Lion and the Lamb
Oh every knee will bow before the Lion and the Lamb
And every knee will bow before the Lion and the Lamb
Every knee will bow before the Lion and the Lamb
Revelation Song
Sing a new song to Him who sits on heaven’s mercy seat
Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, holy, holy is He
Sing a new song to Him who sits on heaven’s mercy seat
Who was and is and is to come
With all creation I sing praise to the King of Kings
You are my everything and I will adore You, I will adore You
Flashes of lightning, rolls of thunder
Blessing and honor, strength and glory
And power be to You the only wise King, yeah
Who was and is and is to come, yeah
With all creation I sing praise to the King of Kings
You are my everything and I will adore You
Holy, holy, You are holy
At the mention of Your name
Jesus, Your name is power, breath and living water
Such a marvelous mystery, yeah
Who was and is and is to come, yeah
With all creation I sing praise to the King of Kings
You are my everything and I will adore You
Who was and is and is to come
With all creation I sing praise to the King of Kings
You are my everything and I will adore You, adore you
Holy, holy, You are holy
Sinking Deep
In a grace so relentless
I am won
By perfect love
In a peace that lasts forever
Sinking deep
In mercy’s sea
Drawing close
Stirred by grace
And all my heart is Yours
All fear removed
I breathe You in
I lean into Your love
Oh, Your love
Lift my head to see Your glory
Lord of all
So beautiful
Captivated by the splendor
Of Your face
My secret place
Drawing close
Stirred by grace
And all my heart is Yours
All fear removed
I breathe You in
I lean into Your love
Oh, Your love
Is washing over me
Your face is all I seek
You are my everything
Jesus Christ
You are my one desire
Lord hear my only cry
To know You all my life
Is washing over me
Your face is all I seek
You are my everything
Jesus Christ
You are my one desire
Lord hear my only cry
To know You all my life
Drawing close
Stirred by grace
And all my heart is Yours
All fear removed
I breathe You in
I lean into Your love
Oh, Your love

All the Poor and Powerless
And all the lost and lonely
And all the thieves will come confess
And know that You are holy
And know that You are holy
Hallelujah
And we will cry out
Hallelujah
And all who feel unworthy
And all who hurt with nothing left
Will know that You are holy
Hallelujah
And we will cry out
Hallelujah
And all will sing out
Hallelujah
And we will cry out
Hallelujah
Go on and scream it from the mountains
Go on and tell it to the masses
That He is God

Go on and tell it to the masses
That He is God
Go on and scream it from the mountains
Go on and tell it to the masses (we sing to you Lord)
That He is God

Go on and tell it to the masses
That He is God
Hallelujah
And we will cry out
Hallelujah
We will sing out

SERIES: Epic Life
Scripture – 1 Samuel 16:4-13
What does it take for us to get ready to live the life God has called us to live?
- A relationship with God… to know where the Father is leading us is easier when we know who the Father is
- A heart that is surrendered to God…. whatever God wants from me, from tending sheep to shepherding a nation; (ie. whatever God is leading you to do, you should surrender to that… from a lowly [shepherd] job to the highest calling.
- A willingness to walk at God’s pace… David is anointed king but it will be years before he is on the throne, for now he is back to tending sheep…
Conclusion:
When we think about the life of David, most think about the positive things that he did, about the great things he did, but when we dive deeper we see that he was a person just like us… David was not perfect…But he was “a man after God’s heart” – What does that mean? We’re going to explore that over the next few weeks and we will discover that God is not looking for perfect people, but those that are after God’s own heart. That is, pursuing the heart of God relentlessly; a willingness to get knocked down and get back up again. Discovering the making of an Epic life!
Grab Your Gear:
God tells us to be ready to serve him. Be ready for when the enemy comes. He has given us the tools to be ready- The Armour of God! Today you are going to make a piece of the armour. Take the materials out of your bag, and you can make the sword of the spirit, the chest plate of righteousness, the belt of truth, the shield of Faith, or the helmet of salvation. We want to see which one you pick, so take a picture and have your parents email it to alexis@ptc3.com.

When We Pray by Tauren Wells
Summary:
Read 1 Samuel 13:13-14 and 1 Samuel 16:7 together as a family. Today we are starting our sermon series Epic on the life of David. Today is all about being ready. Being ready for what you might ask? Well, whatever God has planned for you! I want to introduce you to four guys: Saul, Samuel, Jesse, and David. David might be familiar to you, he’s the guy who killed Goliath and later becomes king! Saul is currently king, but he doesn’t follow God’s commands while king so God says his kingdom will end. Saul isn’t ready, nor was he really ever ready. To be ready we must follow what God says. Samuel is a prophet and anointed Saul as king. God calls him to anoint a new king, and he isn’t ready to do this. He is looking for all the wrong things in a king, which verse 16:7 says. Jesse is David’s dad. Jesse is not ready either! He brings all of his sons out to Samuel to be examined to be king, except for David.
As we can see from our short summary above, when we are ready for God we can be used for big things! But when we are not ready, we might miss our chance. You can easily see other people in the Bible, besides David, who were ready for God’s calling: Esther, Paul, John the Baptist, Mary- just to name a few. They may not have been perfect, but God definitely used them in big ways! So, how can we be ready? First, we need to have a relationship with God. You can’t take instructions from someone if you don’t have a relationship with them. You won’t even know God is speaking to you and through you unless you open your heart to Him. You also need to surrender your heart to God. He has to be the most important thing in your life! No one or nothing can become great. The last thing is you must be willing to work at His pace. David was anointed king and then waited for many years until he was actually king! God isn’t in a hurry, He will do things at just the right time. We need to wait on Him and trust in Him.
Activity:
Go outside and grab any kind of sports ball. (Tennis ball, soccer ball, basketball…) One that’s not too hard. In your driveway or in an area that is open, take the ball and throw it in the air then catch it. The next time you throw it in the air, see if you can clap your hands before you catch it again. If you can get one clap, throw it into the air again, and try two claps before you catch it. See how many claps you can get before you can no longer catch before it hits the ground. While you are focusing on the claps, you have to be ready to catch the ball before it hits the ground, just like you have to be ready for whatever God has planned for you!
Discussion Questions:
- How can you be ready for God to work in your life today?
- What are some things you can do to surrender your heart to God?
- Why might it be difficult to work at God’s pace?

Welcome to Real Thoughts!
Challenging Our Students to Engage and Go Deeper in Their Faith Through Thought Provoking Prompts and Ideas.
In light of our temporary shift to online platforms, we are still looking to provide students with the opportunity to dive into the text and explore the faith through these conversations, but with their families now! We encourage each of our students to engage in the main worship service with their families while using their YMJ’s (Youth Ministry Journals) to flush out how the conversation from stage relates to them and where they are in their faith walk. The hope is that, in so doing, students will find themselves more ready to engage in conversation about the lesson with those around them, having gained a better understanding of what it is that the lesson means to them. So, join us this week as we continue in the conversation on George Dillard’s new book Epic Life!

Epic Life Study: Chapter One
Room For Thoughts:
Food For Thought
- All of us have thought about it. Some have talked about it, and a select few have even written about it; what is the purpose of our lives? When you think of this question what is the first thing that comes to mind?
- What happens when we do not have a clear understanding of purpose?
- Non-believers find their sense of purpose coming from money, relationships, or adventures- all of which are temporary. How are the promises of Jesus, to the believer, different?
- We understand that our purpose comes from God, but how do we discover what that purpose is?
- In George’s book, he reminds us that the first step in hearing from God is learning to become dependent on Him. What does it mean to be truly dependent on God?
- How is this hard for you?
- Sometimes we can despair because we think that we are not able to do whatever it is we feel God calling us to. Just imagine David. He started out as the youngest and, seemingly, least important of his family of farmers, then, as he followed God, he became king! God will use the obedient heart to accomplish great things in your life. Take some time, now, to pray and ask God to reveal what it is He is calling you to. Don’t be discouraged if He doesn’t reveal everything all at once, but ask Him to show you your next steps. Then, journal below what you think He is calling you towards.
